Celebrating Black Friday

A day to celebrate all the great deals and discounts of the year, this is what thanksgiving has turned into and we should be very grateful for these wonderful money saving discounts that we wait all year for or maybe just the limited time offer Victoria secret bag stuffed with all the  best products. Thanksgiving is just another lame holiday we all have an excuse to get fat but how are we benefiting? We could be spending our time with our family holding lines for each other, racing through stores with shopping carts and fighting over the latest technology with strangers just to get it for your little brother for Christmas. I would say this is definitely the best way to show we appreciate everything we have. And anyways why would we wait to go shopping any other day. With Christmas coming around the corner everyone is trying to get their holiday shopping done far earlier than everyone else so we ensure we get everything on our Christmas gifting list, because well.. Presents are the most important part of the holiday’s right?

As a whole everyone prefers buying themselves gifts over getting gifts from other people so instead of wasting our time eating mass amounts of food and watching football in a food coma we should be running around through stores not only helping each other get our shopping done and getting ready for the most important holiday, Christmas; but also by burning off unnecessary calories. Even if employees from those stores wanted to spend time with their family on thanksgiving, it doesn’t matter it’s technically their fault anyway they work there they should have known they were going to have to work on the biggest holiday of the year. All in all we should just rename thanksgiving and officially call it Black Friday, and everyone must annually support it by going to the mall and spending all of their money on unnecessary things that they think they need!

Society: Fit Not Fat
If you were to ask someone something and they lied, how does that make you feel? I'm sure you can think of endless amounts of feelings that you could feel in result of this, but one jumps out specifically to me. Confusion. Why did they feel the need to lie to me? What were they getting out of it? And how does this lie affect me or my judgement?

Society is a liar. The new 'almost could call it epidemic' lie that society has spread from commercial to commercial and has taken over all of the beauty advertisements is that "fat is beautiful". Now i'm not just talking about a little extra 'love' as I call it on your hips, putting you in the category of average . I'm saying society is embracing fat... all of it. This may be quite blunt, but it needs to be said we need to stop embracing the fat, and start enhancing the fit side of all of us! This type of complacent attitude towards body weight is taking a major toll on us physically and not just outside but inside. It's creating steady decline in our health, and a longer line at McDonald's. Which one is more important?
